A bird with a wonderful name

It was in the city when I first saw this bird. We were driving home from Centenary pool and it was there, sitting on a fence, looking at our green car. I was surprised because of its shape, size and colors. Actually hadn't realised that even the birds here would be different.
The bird had the best name ever - kookaburra. Laughing bird (Dacelo novaeguineae) is the world's largest kingfisher (45 cms in length), it is several kgs heavy and lives for 20 years. That is also the fastest flyer among kingfishers. Kookaburra is called the 'laughing bird' because of its voice that sounds like laughter.

Kookaburras live in large colonies in the South of Australia. Even though they are kingfishers, they don't eat fish, but prefer lizards, mice, small birds and sometimes snakes. They carry the catch up in the sky and throw down or just beat it against the tree branch to break the bones and make it easier to digest the food.
All their life kookaburras choose the same partner and prefer to nest at the same place too. The laughing voice scares away their enemies and is widely used in movies, games and entertainment parks as a part of jungle sounds, even if it is in the jungles of South America. Kookaburra is native to Australia and New Guinea and it is the most popular bird in Australia. Kookaburra Olly was used as one of the mascots (others being echidna and platypus) of the Olympic games in Sydney.

  1. . Do every one of your applications around a similar time, and the credit departments are sufficiently keen to see that the greater part of the request are indicating a solitary potential advance.fence contractor midland
